Effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of pregnant women

Objective: The negative consequences of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on the mental health pregnant women and disorders it may trigger pose risks for physical, cognitive psychological development infants as well having in terms general functionality mother. This study aimed to investigate effects COVID-19 evaluate prevalence psychiatric symptoms.
 Materials Methods: included a total 112 who agreed fill an online survey which was provided them via e-mail. Online consisted sociodemographic data form, questions related COVID-19, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-Short Form (DASS-21), Posttraumatic Disorder (PTSD) Checklist Diagnostic Statistical Manual Mental Disorders-Fifth Edition (DSM-5) (PCL-5). 
 Results: mean age participants 31.06 years. DASS-21 subscale score depression 4.20 (± 3.91) whereas 3.75 3.50) anxiety 5.68 3.81) stress subscale. Total PCL-5 31.29 16.85). Those diagnosed with during were observed show higher rate symptoms. believed that they needed professional support showed rates depression, anxiety, PTSD symptoms found be among not care professionals thought pandemic.
